A MESSAGE FROM THE P&C TO PARENTS OF MULWAREE STUDENTS

The P&C are an integral part of the school, and provide a link between the school, parents and community.听 It is a forum for parents to raise concerns, obtain information and contribute to school policy.
听
As the parent of a Mulwaree student, being involved in the P&C is an excellent way to help your child's education.听 You get to know your school, find out what is happening and contribute to its growth.
听
Each year the Mulwaree P&C raise funds from operation of the school canteen, and use this to provide new school equipment and resources.听 In recent times this has included $20,000 to provide seats and shading for students outside the school buildings, and $15,000 for new equipment for the teaching of Industrial Arts, Language, Technology, Science, sport and music subjects.
听
The P&C support teaching staff in their goal of providing a quality educational facility for all students.听 We do this by providing funds to purchase equipment and resources to enhance the teaching of a wide range of academic, vocational and sporting pursuits.听
听
We recognise student achievement by providing funds for student awards, and to help parents and students meet the cost of representing the school at sporting and academic events. 听The P&C also contributes to developing student values and ethics by employing the school chaplain with funding from the Australian Government's National School Chaplaincy Program.听
听
The P&C supports and encourages student involvement in running the school, through the Student Representative Council (SRC).听 The SRC and P&C share ideas for school improvement, and we provide funding for student initiatives.
听
The school exists to provide students with the most enriching educational experience possible.听 With your help we aim to make this a truly rewarding one.
听
The P&C meet on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:30 PM in the staff Common Room, except during school holidays.听 Meetings usually take less than 2 hours, and are welcoming and informal.
听
